Gibbons Helps Families Arrange Veteran Services

In the case of Wally Cadogan, he and his brother Robert spoke about Robert’s wishes for his funeral arrangements. Wally honored Robert as a brother, a husband and a father. The United States of America, along with his family, honored Robert as a Veteran. As a Veteran, Robert was entitled to a full military service from the President of the United States and a grateful nation. Wally described the service as “outstanding”.

Robert shared with his brother that he preferred Cremation, with his remains to be interred at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery alongside his wife who passed before Robert. Wally turned to Marya Gibbons to assist with the arrangements to see that his brother’s wishes were followed. Wally knew what to do, but not how to do it. “The Gibbons Family walked me through it step by step”, states Wally. He went so far as to write a note to the Gibbons Family afterwards to thank them on behalf of the family for being patient and thorough and for taking care of every detail. The Gibbons Family response is “While we love to receive these notes, it’s not necessary to thank us for honoring your loved one. It’s our privilege to do so”.
